I’m Emilie Mettraux. Indeed, my name does not sound american. I am actually not from here. I am on an intercultural exchange program, and I am from Switzerland. I have been in America for almost 8 months and I enjoy it a lot. I played tennis this fall with Grace my double partner. We got third at State which was a great new experience for me to play in double since I always played singles before. I also was in the musical this winter, which was interesting and fun! I’m currently playing in the jv soccer team and it is also a lot of fun. Being an exchange student helped me to discover another culture, pretty similar of mine actually. But it gave me the opportunity to meet new people, in a completely different atmosphere and to learn another language. It helped me also to increase my english level, what we can actually tell in my Capstone. Since I started this project at the beginning of the year, my english in my introduction will be less high in the quality than my last move for example.

My studies in Switzerland are pretty different from U.S., it is why I decided to observe and focus my research on the diverse aspect of studies between Switzerland and U.S.
